The time has finally come! Sickness be damned, the new version is now live!!
In this massive update I have removed most of the AI assets (a few BGs remain) and either added official art by the artists or some non-AI assets from itch or other asset stores!
I have also added Demi's official character art to her scenes! Johp did a great job with the final renders and I hope that everyone continues to love her and her new look!
I have also doubled the amount of content from the original demo release. Now you can play through a large portion of Day 2 where several key events and plot hooks reside! Choices will need to be made that will drastically affect the story going forward, so which path will you take?
I hope to continue fixing bugs and replacing AI assets over the coming weeks and am considering adding more content in a future update but this launch is the goal of the demo release in terms of story! I wanted to have this version ready by the end of the year, and while the art may be a little behind, I'm pleased that I got the story part done. I still have a lot of work to do before the full release is ready, but this will hopefully be the big push the demo needs to get this project moving. The plan now is to push an update when each character has been updated with their official art, hitting bug fixes as needed along the way.
As always, please report any bugs/errors you encounter so I can work on fixing them in the next update.
PLACEHOLDER Version 0.5 Update Changelog:
1. Adjusted some font settings.
2. Adjusted Nameplate position.
3. Other Minor UI adjustments.
4. New Content Added - Added some official BG art
5. New Content Added - Official Demi Art added!
6. New Content Added - Lengthened the story available in the demo to include the 'at work' half of Day 2! Features an additional story hook, and an extensive scene with Demi at lunch based on Day 1 choices.
7. Replaced some AI art with heavily modified artwork from some resource packs. Most AI backgrounds have been replaced with these free/cheap resources. Will still replace with official artwork eventually.

Demi's new art is so cute! Speaking of Demi though, in the lunch scene with her on Day 2, I asked her out on a date, and my model disappeared for several lines of dialogue, staring with "what if... uh..." and it came back on "yes, a date, after work, tomorrow."
I was also wondering if choosing to give her the plushie could loop back so you can still choose to discuss the morning events or the VR program with her. Only being able to choose one of those makes sense, since they're longer conversations, but giving her the plushie is comparably short, so it seems like there should still be "time" to discuss one of the other things with her.
The game also just stops when my character leaves Demi's office, but I'm pretty sure that's just because it's the end of the current content.
Hm thanks for the reports, I will take a look.
There is supposed to be more after lunch with Demi, I'll have to check the jumps are all connected.
I'll add these to my list!
I think I have addressed all of these, pushing a bugfix now!
Almost all of it was fixed, but choosing to give her the plush still advances the conversation to discussing what happened yesterday instead of looping back to the choices.
hmm... okay. I'll play with the code a bit more. It's supposed to cover all three options (two if you don't have the plush) before advancing and I'm not 100% sure why it's not.
It does cover all three if you save the plush for last. The morning events and the VR do properly loop back to the choices.
I tweaked the code for the jumps/variables a bit more and pushed another update today. In testing it worked fine now regardless of which you do first. It should now loop from each choice and tell you if you already chose an option, and then move to the next segment after. I guess the TB engine just doesn't like using || to check for multiple variables
